A non-governmental organization called SOS Children's Villages Sri Lanka works to help children in need who have lost or are in danger of losing parental care. The organization was founded in 1981 and offers loving homes, high-quality education, and healthcare services in Piliyandala, Nuwara Eliya, Galle, and Monaragala, among other places in Sri Lanka. Every SOS Village functions as a tight-knit community where kids receive family-style care and support from registered caregivers, also known as "SOS Mothers." In order to assist communities in ending cycles of poverty and guaranteeing that children are raised in a secure and caring environment, SOS Children's Villages Sri Lanka also conducts educational programs, youth empowerment initiatives, and family strengthening programs. ✥ The purpose of the position is to contribute to the main delivery of Human Resources and Organizational Development objectives resulting in a quality and competent workforce.

Key Requirements  :


  • Responsible for maintaining assigned personal files and updating documentation.
  • Monitoring leave and attendance of employees and generating reports.
  • Responsible for collecting and compiling all payroll related inputs on a monthly basis and providing the relevant input to Finance Department.
  • Also responsible for updating monthly payroll related transactions in the payroll system accurately in a timely manner as per the stipulated timelines.
  • Prepare and provide salary confirmation letters/EPF/ETF documents and other ad hoc letters pertaining to staff payroll.
  • Responsible for data entering and data accuracy of D365 HR ERP system and providing monthly report to Director HR & OD.

Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree/Full or part qualifications in Human Resources from a recognized University/ Institute.
  • High degree of IT fluency including proficiency in MS Office Packages including MS Word, Excel and Power point.
  • Prior experience in working with HRIS is desired.
  • Ability to follow instructions and good communication skills.
  • Ability to work towards a deadline.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in relevant field.


✥ This position entails keeping track of employee attendance and leave, managing and updating personal files, and producing relevant reports. Monthly payroll data collection and compilation, timely and accurate payroll system entries, and coordination with the finance department are among the main duties. Preparing EPF/ETF paperwork, salary confirmations, and other payroll-related correspondence are extra duties. Maintaining data accuracy in the D365 HR ERP system and submitting monthly reports to the Director of HR and Organizational Development are additional duties associated with the role.
